What is a Venus Transit Cycle?

Wendy, you wrote in the Eclipse Intention thread
that there was a Venus Transit in June 2004.

That was perhaps the most important month of my life.

What of this transit???

Venus and her Cycles

One of the most incredible aspects of the Venus cycles is the exquisite geometrical pattern she makes throughout her elliptical orbit (synodic cycle).

Her continual consistent orbit follows the pattern of the pentagram, a 5-pointed star. As her movements occur over and over, she weaves a geometrical rose-pattern in the sky, imbuing her lovely essence upon us, if only we stop to smell the cosmological roses.

“Its orbit around the Sun is the most circular of any planet — nearly a perfect circle. Other planet’s orbits are more elliptical, or oval-shaped.”

Venus Transits 2004 – 2012

A Venus Transit is an occultation, of the Sun. It occurs only every 108 years–a once in a lifetime transit to experience–which we all collectively experienced June 2004 through June 2012.

The Venus Transit (108 years) and her Cycles (19-months) are multi-layered, and therefore somewhat complex to comprehend, though well worth studying.

The 2004-2012 eight-year cycle was in Gemini. And currently we are in a 19-month cycle that is also in Gemini (2020-2021). This recent cycle is unique as the North Node is also in Gemini.

Goddess Circle 5 – Mary

Summer 2009, we met for our annual Goddess Day–initiating a new circle, devoted to a specific Goddess. This one for Mary, the
Divine Mother.

Throughout the year and the three years prior, I was in deep study with the essence of Mary Magdalene and I came upon a stumbling block within myself…how does one honor Mary Magdalene’s sainthood, without addressing the split within our collective psyche about Mother Mary and the Divine Feminine?
