Each class will begin with Back Care Qi Gong, with each class to enhance flexibility and embodiment throughout the movements.
The large spiral movements promote a high level of qi (energy). The motions help persons with low back pain, as well as those who are interested in increased vitality.
It also opens the joints, clears blockages, stimulates and opens meridian pathways, regulates the sequence of the energy field (aura), and strengthens the organs while simultaneously bringing more rooted centered energy into the body.
Wendy Groomes brings a wealth of experience to her individual sessions and class offerings, and has a unique approach to embodiment, wellness, core strength by combining massage techniques, Pilates, energywork, and process oriented care.
She graduated from Potomac Massage Training Institute in 1994, and began practicing in acupuncture clinics and health care facilities in the metro area.
Throughout she continued study of the healing arts including Dance of the Phoenix Qi Gong instruction, Process Oriented Bodywork, Acupressure, Pilates instruction and more. Wendy also studied canine massage while working for holistic veterinarians, and then went on to study health and wellness coaching, specializing in integrative nutrition and herbal studies at Maryland University of Integrative Health, 2016.
